MARK BOOTH Australia

For his first exhibition with Conny Dietzschold Gallery, Mark Booth will create a site-specific installation and new sculptures. Booth is primarily known for his pipe sculptures, such as the Camouflage installation of 'Patternation' which he showed at the Hazelhurst Gallery earlier this year. Weaving intricate patterns of plastic mats around pipes, the artist creates new visual forms and planes forming ordinary PVC pipe elbows into bizarre beings, infinite knots.
TARNUNG centres around one installation that dominates the gallery's front space, and showing single sculpture installations in BackStage. This series of works deal more literally with the concept of camouflage (Tarnung in German), removed from its normal context to create an illusion of materiality.
